I think I've written two firsts with these. My first two crackfic pieces and my first mpreg ones. They were inspired by a drabble from true_brit for the mother challenge on me_and_thee_100. I won't post these two there even though they technically might fit the mother challenge. For better understanding of mine, you should probably read hers first, it's called “What happens on Vega...“.

Remember when I told you about the Torino awards and that some very nice person nominated me again? Remember that I also told you that while I was very flattered about the nomination I wasn't exactly holding my breath for winning anything?
Well, I hate to say I told you so, but hey, I told you so.
Tonight they were finally announced and since I hadn't heard anything beforehand, I somehow suspected that I lucked out again. And what do you know, I was right. As expected I didn't win. So this is the third time and my decision is that it will be the final time.

If you happen to like my artwork, please tell me so yourself. Apparently you are one of the selected few thinking that.

Any further nomination on the Torinos as flattered as they make me, I will reject. It's not an issue of "boohoo, she didn't win and now she's pissed" but more one of "why bother".
So, do I hate it when I'm right? Not really, since I already knew I was right :D

Posting today one of two new snippets from the WIP meme, both are part of a planned series of fics, but until that one gets written (or at all, seems I just can't write longer pieces anymore), I'll post it with the non-series ending. I don't know how I got the idea for this out of the song, it just happened. It's my second slashy piece so far and I wrote it in about 10 minutes in my car yesterday morning before work. I've been nominated in the Torino Awards on the Bay City Library. The nomination is for outstanding artist. Thank you so very much to the person who nominated me. It was quite a pleasant surprise for me today.
Based on my previous experiences with these awards, I'm not exactly holding my breath for winning an award, but seeing as I'm not the only digital artist nominated there this time, maybe there is a change in the view of digital arts in the fandom and their recognition.

Still Life - the new Starsky & Hutch fanart archive


The website is a project by enednoviel and zebra_three.

The Basic Idea

When you want to read a piece of fanfic or search for a certain story, where do you go? Naturally to a fanfic archive where you can find tons of stories by various authors. And if what you are looking for isn't there, you go to a different archive.
But what about artwork? When you go looking for a specific piece of art you can't just go search for it in an artwork archive. Because there is none.
And to correct this oversight, the idea for this site was born. To make sure that you have an archive you can go to first when you want to find an artwork you've been looking for or been wanting to see again.

The site is still a work in progress, but we will try to contact and include as many artists and fan art as possible. If you are an artist and would like us to host / link to your artwork, please let us know.

The website is divided in a gen and a slash archive. We decided to put the slash archive under a login and password, because this is where the naughty stuff is hosted, folks. If you are interested in the login and password, please contact us via mail.

I've been a bit creative the past few days adn created some new icons for one of my fave shows. This time they're all musical icons, since the text on them is song titles (except for one, that is a line from the chorus since the title didn't fit for that one). Hope you'll like them and as usual feedback makes me a happy girl, using them without giving credit doesn't.

Now that I didn't love my previous layout, I really do, but I thought it was nice to have a matching layout for my journal to go with the one I have on False Colors. Come to think of it, it's matching also to the new layout that I'm planning to put up on my icon site Finders Keepers.
On another happy note, I've finished my 100 icons for the icon marathon at icons100. This really was a fun challenge, maybe I'll sign up for another go, just need to figure out what I should do next. If you want to, you can go see all 100 of them and the shiny award I got for them here 100 Starsky&Hutch Icons.
Now tomorrow I'll go shopping again, wonder if I'll turn up broke before the new month started *gg*
